Small Christmas items such as acrylic fruit, Santas, reindeer, ornaments, etc.
Newspapers
Primer (such as Kilz) and red metallic spray paint (available at hobby or crafts stores)
10-inch plastic foam wreath form (such as Styrofoam)
Packages of red tinsel garland
Scissors
Short-length straight pins
Hot glue and glue sticks
1/4-inch wide red satin ribbon
1-inch red muffin cup liners
3-inch wide red wire edge
Ribbon for bowWhat You Do:
Choose the items you want to put on the wreath. Lay them on the newspaper and paint with primer. Allow to dry. Paint the items with the metallic red paint. Turn the objects and paint again if necessary. Allow to dry. Set aside.Cut the tinsel into 3-foot lengths to make it easier to wrap the form. 1 inch diameter clear plastic aquarium tube. Approx 1 1/2 to 2ft long
2, 1-inch plastic chair leg caps
Light Corn Syrup
Assorted plastic confetti (grocery or greeting card store)
Cold water
Curling ribbon
Hot glue gun and sticks Instructions:
1. Secure the cap on the bottom of the tube with hot glue.
2. Fill the tube 3/4 full with light corn syrup.
3. Add some confetti.
4. Fill to the top with cold water.
5. Glue the remaining cap onto the tube.

| | Give them an Inch and They Take a Mile | | I find working with elders fulltime on nightshift really gets to me sometimes. I use to think I was born to help people that are incapable of doing things on their own. I've been working at my job for over four years now and I've decided that I don't want to do this forever. I started taking my Grade Twelve by home corospondence so I can move up higher and set another goal for myself.
To get back to the elder people. They seem to have their days and nights mixed up. I work nightshifts like I mentioned already and there are several of the elders that are up all night pulling their call lights and I find that once you are helpful with these ones, they seem to take advantage of this caring attitude and abuse it. Once they know you're really kind they don't want to leave you alone so you're running your butt off for the simplest reasons like can't I have a glass of water, then for the fifth time I have to use the bathroom and things like that. It's tiring. Even the nurses in charge get fed up and end up writing up their rude behavior.
I've noticed that the elders are facing the circle of life and going back into their childhood lives. I feel as if I'm working in a five star hotel... | |

In one of New York schools a 4-grader had his gun seized and was taken to principle's office for questioning. The funny thing is that even the boy's father, former police officer, could not understand how a 2-inch gun may be the cause of troubles, especially in the hands of a 9 y.o. kid.
The principle claimed that toy guns of any size are forbidden in the school LOL.

| | Me and my big 10 inch | | Yes, you read the title correct. Of course I'm talkiing about snowfall. I had to cancel a Dr. appointment for dad due to the blowing, drifting snow and below zero windchills this afternoon. I have cleared a couple inches so far and the worst is yet to start falling.
