| | | Fish with us! Find FLOAT TUBE MAGIC and more here! | myLot Discussions| Have you ever fished from a float-tube? | | I have walked and fished some beautiful streams, rivers and lakes. I even bought a boat and motor but nothing has been any more fun that fishing from a FLOAT TUBE.You are right at the water level and you can go into places you just won't get into with a boat.I have taken my FLOAT TUBE into places that it would be hard to even get a canoe into because the bush was so thick, but my FLOAT TUBE packs on my back. I can where my boots so I don't have to carry them and a little air pump and I'm ready to go.A few minutes of pumping and I am on the water having the time of my life.I really enjoy it but found it much more fun with a second FLOAT TUBE and a friend, so I bought another one and now I take a friend and we have a blast together. If you haven't tried it and you like fishing try it. You will enjoy it I guarantee. The only thing I would recommend would be plenty of sun screen because you are very close to the water and it a lot of sun gets reflected on you.Next I would recommend you have good footwear and flippers so you can fish all day... | |
| | I Haven't Been Camping Since My Son Was A Kid | | My son is 23 now and we stopped camping about 15 years ago. I feel bad but it always seems that work was more pressing. I think maybe that's why I quit working for others eventually and started my own business. But I am thinking of taking my son on a fishing trip, maybe do some camping in some back places I know where the fishing is good and the hills protect it against high winds that make canoeing and fly fishing tough.I used to take him fishing when he was little, we had some great fun. I even took him with me when we would go float tube fishing, that was a blast too. Then the teen years hit and a huge wall was built between us, one that is only coming down now after such a long time.Wish me the best with a weekend of fishing, laughing and bonding with my son. | |
| | My Favorite Fish To Catch in New Brunswick | | I have been hooked on fishing since I was a guppy myself and hope to be able to fish well into my 90s. That would be great.I fish in New Brunswick where I catch, brook trout, chain pickerel, smallmouth bass and Atlantic salmon. They are all great fun to catch but I have to say that my favorite fish to catch is the Chain Pickerel. The Chain Pickerel is like a Pike and they like to ambush their dinner by hiding in the weeds and then violently attacking passing fish. Knowing this I like to get my float tube and get close to the weeds.I use top water baits so that I can see the action. When you see a huge V coming through the water you know a pickerel is about to smash your bait but it's tough to keep from yanking your line too soon.Other times there is no warning at all, they just explode on the bait almost before it even hits the water.Another thing the pickerel does is follow the bait all the way back to me and just as I go to take the bait out of the water they explode. This does a couple of things.First it scared the crap out of me, which gets me laughing and second they soak you with the big explosion.I love it. What is your favorite fish to catch and... | |
